Findings lifecycle
A finding isn't a dead entry in a list — it's something you act on. Pentu tracks each one across scans, so you can ignore what doesn't matter, retest what you've fixed, and watch issues resolve themselves.
Ignore — now and in the future
Some findings are accepted risk or noise for your context. Ignore one and it disappears from your open list — and because Pentu fingerprints findings across scans, it won't come back on the next scan either. Change your mind anytime and un-ignore it.
Fixed? Let the next scan prove it
When you re-scan a target and a previously-open issue no longer reproduces, Pentu marks it verified-fixed automatically. No manual bookkeeping — the re-test is the proof that it's gone.
Retest a single finding
Fixed something and want to check just that one issue? Hit Retest on the finding. Pentu re-scans the target and resolves the finding if it's gone — so you get a fresh, honest verdict without waiting on a scheduled scan.
How it works under the hood
Each finding gets a stable fingerprint. After every scan, Pentu reconciles against history: it carries your "ignore" decisions forward onto matching findings, and marks anything that was open-and-is-now-gone as verified-fixed. Your triage decisions stick, and your list stays clean and current.
